Well, you made it this far…want to know more?  The Jaycees have what we call the “4 Areas of Opportunity”.  This categorizes some of the projects and things we do into specific areas each with their own guidelines and goals.

Management Area – The management area includes the public relations and marketing of the chapter, fund-raising for general chapter use, communications; website and newsletter, and strategic planning/oversight of the annual chapter plan.

Membership Area –  Focused on recruiting and retaining our members, the membership area provides orientation for new members, various socials throughout the year as well as your progress through the “degrees” program (designed to track your progression as a Jaycee through defined steps).

Community Area – The community area is just that, focused on community.  Projects like Relay for Life, local “habitat for humanity” style projects, helping seniors, and involvement in your local Township/City festivals and events fall under community involvement.

Individual Development (includes International and Junior Jaycees) – ID provides personal and professional trainings including; cooking, crafts, dance, and public speaking.  It also includes guest speakers at meetings, International exposure projects and all things family based.  It also focuses on Junior Jaycees, the children of Jaycee members to provide activities and programs for the young ones!
